Weed & the Workplace:  What You Need to Know

Medical marijuana is now a reality in Illinois and employers must know how to deal with the ramifications and implications within the workplace.  In this presentation, we will discuss the basics of the law, employer obligations and employee rights under this law, best practices for navigating the law and minimizing potential liability, and the latest developments associated with this law.

Presented by Sonal Shah

Ms Shah serves as Senior Employment Counsel for HR Source (formerly Management Association), located in Downers Grove.  With experience representing employers from the smallest organizations to Fortune 500 corporations, she possesses expansive knowledge of federal and state employment law, counseling and compliance experience and a 98% success rate in defending employers against discrimination and wrongful termination claims.  Ms Shah is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and JD from the School of Law at Washington University in St Louis.
